Regarding Verification of MRG/National Status Report

  1. MRGs are received from Ministry of Home, Punjab Govt., Chandigarh, Addl. Director General of Police, Intelligence, Punjab, Chandiagrh and District Magistrate, Faridkot for verification of character, antecedent and National status and photographs. Entry of all these MRGs are recommended in the register.
  2. On receipts of MRGs these are sent to concerned Police Station for verification as stated in Para-1 with the instructions to return the same after doing the needful.
  3. After the receipt from Police Station it is ensured that Verification of character, antecedents, National status and photographs have been certified two prominent persons of the village i.e. Sarpanch, Member Panchayat, Numberdar etc. It is also ensured that Investigation Officer who carried out the verification has written his own report, MHC has checked the records of Police Station and endorsement to this effect has been recorded and SHO'S made his recommendation. After all these formalities these are routed through Halka GOs to this office.
  4. As and when these MRGs are received from Halka GOs, the report is sent to concerned authorities from where these MRGs were received and entry to this effect is made in the register opened for this purpose.
